2.29.2012 Gina Wilde Workshop At Tricoter

For the Love of Color

“Color affects us all on deep and meaningful levels, and even more so for the knitting artist. Creating garments that match our own unique aesthetic are the best investment in our knitting time.  Knowing what colors work well for us and understanding how varying textures of yarn can expand your knit horizons enhances the knitting process greatly.”
Through a series of fun, fast and enlightening color exercises, you will find your own beautiful palette with which to knit for the day, choosing from a dazzling array of colors and textures from Alchemy Yarns.  You’ll explore creative ways to expand your knit experience, while learning new techniques for working with dynamic color.  Students will create a gorgeous ascot scarf during the class, choosing fiber from an outrageously colorful and decadent treasure trove of Alchemy stash, with opportunities to create one-on-one a unique palette with Gina for your future projects.

Gina will also bring a beautiful trunk show of hand knits for inspiration, as well as her elegant line of hand-sewn silk slips and silk tights.
